Frequently Asked Questions
  • What are these "walks"?
We call all our events "walks." They can be anything: a picnic in the park, board games, a museum visit, basketball, or an actual walk through the city or in nature.
  • When and where do the walks take place?
Walks happen several times a week outside of school hours. All announcements and reports are published in our Telegram channel. Reports are also shared on our Instagram.
  • How much does it cost?
Participation in our walks is free of charge.
  • Who can join?
Teenagers and young adults aged 12 to 20 who are comfortable communicating in Russian.
  • How can I sign up?
To sign up, please check the latest instructions in our Telegram channel.
  • Why are you doing this?
The project admins have been through emigration themselves, and we want to help the next generation make that experience less traumatic. Also, many of us have teenage children who take part in the project. If you'd like to help too, email us at hola@thewalks.es.
  • Are you sure you're not a cult?
Absolutely sure. Our walks have no ideological agenda. However, we do follow general humanist values, the principles of respectful education, nonviolent communication, and common sense. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination and actively work to make our community safe and welcoming for everyone involved.
